Easily export iPhone contacts to computer




The iPhone can store a large volume of data. It stores innumerable phone numbers and contacts in the Address Book App. When you configure contact sync in iTunes and export iPhone contacts to computer. So the question that arises here is that how to export iPhone contacts and save it from getting inaccessible or lost in certain circumstances like corruption in the iPhone, damage or loss of the iPhone, accidental or intentional deletion of the data stored on the iPhone.

To export iPhone contacts one needs to make use of iTunes and thus, export iPhone contacts to PC. For this purpose you need to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Launch iTunes and plug the iPhone into the computer using the USB cable that is included with the device.
  • From the left side of the main iTunes window in the Devices list select the name of the iPhone.
  • At the top of iPhone configuration settings, go to the ‘Contacts’ or the ‘Info’ tab.
  • Check the check box ‘Sync Contacts’.
  • Go to the drop down menu near ‘Sync Contacts’ and go to the application that you want to store the data that has been exported. By default, the data is stored in Outlook.
  • Now click on the ‘Apply’ button at the right corner at the bottom. This would perform the sync and export all the iPhone contacts to the computer.
