How to resolve iPhone error 23?




IPhone is smart phone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. that is very much popular amongst its users. It can function like a cellular phone, data transfer device and also as a MP3 player. However, like all smart devices, Apple iPhone is also prone to certain errors that need to be fixed and the iPhone needs to be restored. You might encounter iphone error 23 which signifies that the iPhone is not able to enter into the restore mode.

When the unknown error 23 occurs the iPhone stops working, and you receive error messages while using certain applications on the iPhone. For iphone error 23 recovery you need to access DFU, that is Device Firmware Upgrade mode manually and then restore the iPhone.

To manually enter the DFU mode, you need to follow the steps given below:

  • First of all connect the iPhone to the computer using the 30-pin USB cable connector.
  • Using the ‘Power’ button, switch off iPhone.
  • Simultaneously press and hold the “Home” and “Power” buttons for about 10 seconds.
  • Now release the “Home” button while you continue to press the “Home” button until the computer is able to recognize the iPhone as a standard USB device.
  • Now restore the iPhone.

Below are a few steps given that would help you to restore the iPhone.

  • Connect the iPhone to the computer using the 30-pin USB cable connector.
  • Open iTunes, select iPhone in the left column and then click on the Summary tab in main iTunes window.
  • Select “Restore” and then “Backup” to save your music before the restoration takes place.
  • Click on Restore so that your iPhone is restored. Click on OK and then “Set up your iPhone”. Do not disconnect the iPhone until the “Connect to iTunes” message is still there on the iPhone.
  • Restore your data and click on “Restore from backup”
